Police Chief Retires After 29 Years in Law Enforcement

Bee Cave Police Chief Brian JonesBee Cave Police Chief Brian Jones has announced his retirement following a 29-year career in law enforcement.
Jones has served as Bee Cave’s police chief since August of 2021.
Over the past four years, the department has increased DWI enforcement, launched one of the first autonomous drone pilot projects in the state and worked to keep Bee Cave’s crime rate among the lowest in the state.
“After twenty-nine years in law enforcement, I have decided it’s time to step back and take a break. Thank you for the opportunity to lead this department and serve the citizens of Bee Cave. It has been an honor,” Chief Jones said.
The City of Bee Cave thanks Brian Jones for his service as the department prepares for its next chapter.
Jones’ retirement takes effect September 12, 2025, and the search for a new chief will begin in the coming weeks.
