Director of Communications

Public Services Librarian

Bee Cave Public Library has a full time Public Services Librarian position open to individuals with a passion for programming and public service. Successful candidates will be organized, creative, friendly, and enjoy interacting with patrons of all ages. You are a great fit for this position if you are enthusiastic and positive, have great ideas, and enjoy working with people and children. Must be flexible and enthusiastic about supporting and covering library programs for a variety of ages to assist the Public Services Team as needed. Successful candidates are able to work both collaboratively and autonomously. Due to our compact spaces, candidates must be flexible with their work environment and schedule. Spanish language skills are a plus. Occasional Saturday and evening hours required. Bachelor’s degree required; Masters of Library Science preferred. Preferred qualifications include one to two years of professional public library experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. The Planning and Development team for the City of Bee Cave is looking for a certified inspector of the highest quality, ready to take on both residential and nonresidential inspections of all kinds while upholding the standards laid out in the adopted building codes. The perfect candidate is someone who is patient and an intelligent communicator with the customer service skills to defuse tense situations. This person identifies code violations quickly and can effectively proscribe corrections in reports. Experience working with the public or as a plan reviewer are a bonus.
