Bee Cave Transfers Signal Timing to TxDOT

TxDOT Resumes Control of Traffic Signal Maintenance

Bee Cave Traffic Signals

The City of Bee Cave has heard residents’ concerns about traffic signal timing — and we understand the frustration.

While Bee Cave has managed signal operations for the past few years, coordinating signal timing across multiple jurisdictions is more efficient and cost-effective when handled by a single agency. That’s why the City has officially transferred responsibility for traffic signal operations — including timing — to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

TxDOT is better positioned to manage and synchronize traffic signals regionally. With their statewide infrastructure, specialized equipment, and technical expertise, they can more effectively address the challenges of signal timing in a fast-growing area like ours.

If you notice an issue with a traffic signal, please report it directly to TxDOT using the link below:

Note: The City will continue to manage the traffic signal at Bee Cave Pkwy and Galleria Pkwy and future traffic signals located on local roads that don’t intersect with state highways.

We appreciate your patience as we make this change to help keep Bee Cave moving.
